My name is Vincent Tang but everyone calls me Vinny and I am a Professional Makeup Artist & Hair Stylist based in Toronto.
After graduating with an Honours BA Degree from York University and a Business Certificate from Schulich School of Business, I obtained a Beauty Diploma from George Brown College in 2010. Upon invitation, I extended my education and completed the Val Garland Make-up Program at Mastered HQ in 2015.
I started out as a Demo Artist and Trainer for companies like Estée Lauder, Girlactik, Laura Mercier, MAKE UP FOR EVER, Stila, and Yves Saint Laurent. My experience also comes from MAC as a Certified Artist, Product Specialist, VIVA Glam Ambassador, and in Management. I have received multiple awards in both makeup and hair categories and after winning 1st Place for Glamorous Evening Makeup at the 2012 Allied Beauty Association, I was selected by Messe Düsseldorf to represent Canada at the 2013 Beauty International Make-up Championships in Germany and finished in the Top 10. Thereafter in the summer of 2013, I joined the National CHANEL Makeup Team as a Studio Artist and represent the luxury house exclusively in Cosmetics, Skincare, and Fragrances.
Since 2010, under approval from the Ontario Ministry of Training for Colleges and Universities, I also work as a Consulting Instructor, designing and teaching Cosmetology & Makeup Artistry courses at various schools registered as Private Career Colleges. As a firm believer in continual education, I have attended National and International workshops offered by platform artists such as Eve Pearl, Gordon J. Smith, Josh Turi, Kabuki, Kevin James Bennet, Lan Nguyen-Grealis, Oribe, Roque Cozzette, Roshar, and Sam Villa.
In addition to the Retail and Education facets of the beauty industry, I remain active as a Self-Represented Artist & Educator managing mobile makeup and hair services. On a regular basis, I am a Team Lead for the Look Good Feel Better program at Princess Margaret Hospital that offers makeup workshops to cancer patients. When I am not in stores, classrooms, or on set, I am conducting research via traditional means of published books and magazines as well as attending trade shows in order to stay updated on the latest trends. I truly love what I do and want to welcome you to my world of beauty that is not entirely focused on vanity. Rather, it is using the power of beauty to bring out positivity and the time to present your best ‘Self’.
